Upcoming art events and lectures from Saving Faces

On Wednesday 15th of April Professor Hutchison will be presenting at The Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal Society of Medicine's second annual lecture on the theme of 'Art, Medicine and Society'. His talk is entitled 'The Genesis of The Saving Faces Art Project and its Impact on Patients, Clinicians and the Public'.

The Saving Faces art project is now in its 15th year and still in great demand, touring the country. In the last year it has exhibited in Exeter, Belfast and Southampton, as well as at the launch of the National Facial, Oral and Oculoplastic Research Centre in London.

Following the artistic theme, Tuesday 12th of May sees Professor Hutchison in conversation with artist, Maggi Hambling. The event at King’s College London is part of a series of events surrounding Maggi Hambling’s latest exhibition, ‘War, Requiem and Aftermath’. She is one of Britain's most distinguished contemporary artists, and was the first artist-in-residence at the National Gallery in 1980.

Both events are free to attend but tickets must be booked in advance through the Royal Society of Medicine / King’s College London. Further information, including how and where to book tickets is available on the Saving Faces website.

Hope to see you there,

The Saving Faces Team
