Senior Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Technician

Hours: 37.5 per week
Band 6 £26,041 to £34,876 pa Job

We are looking to recruit a Senior Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Technician, preferably with prior experience of working in a hospital Maxillofacial/Dental Department, to work as an integral member of our Laboratory team in the Oral Health Laboratory of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Trust.
As post holder, you will:
- create bespoke maxillofacial prosthetics for the rehabilitation of patients
- assist senior staff in the production of obturators and advanced denture prosthetics
- be responsible for your own workload and the welfare of your patients with input from senior staff members
- work closely with the Head of Department and the Senior Maxillofacial Prosthetist in the
- effective use of resources and help to ensure that a quality service is established and maintainence
You will be required to take part in an on-call rota with the other technicians in the laboratory for maxillofacial injuries outside of the normal laboratory working hours.
Requirements:
- BSc Dental Technology or equivalent
- Significant post qualification experience
- Ability to produce a wide variety of complex Maxillofacial Prostheses
- Demonstrable knowledge of the safe and effective use of all Dental Laboratory Materials and the suitability of materials for use on patients
