Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Reconstructive Scientist: Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Academic Centre of Reconstructive Science Laboratory at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for an enthusiastic Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Reconstructive Scientist to join our expanding team.
The successful applicant will work across sites and will be competent in all areas of Maxillofacial Prosthetics including the construction of silicone prostheses, ocular prostheses, splinting devices, complex orthognathic surgery planning and will be able to construct a range of complex cleft devices.
The post holder will be able to work autonomously and provide a high level of service to a variety of Maxillofacial Prosthetic patients and other service users. Opportunities exist to develop the 3D digital technology service offered within the trust.
Applicants will hold full IMPT membership, however, consideration will be given to newly qualified staff due to sit their AIB. Applicants will also hold appropriate GDC registration.
Interviews will be conducted over 2 days, including a practical assessment. The practical assessment is planned to be held on Wednesday 24th January 8.30am – 5pm followed by interviews on Friday 26th January (times to be arranged).
