IMPT Congress

Register at the annual congress

Taking it back to the good old days!!!

Student accommodation is provided to help keep cost down. If you are one of the more affluent IMPT members there are several excellent hotels within walking distance of the venue.

Call for papers

The congress is returning to the three day format and the first day will start at 14.00 with the presidential handover and the president’s lecture. The rest of the afternoon will be taken up with workshops and an opportunity to see the trade stands.

The call for papers is now on the website and it is hoped that we will have a full and stimulating lecture programme.

There is a lot of good work being undertaken in many units throughout the UK and this is an opportunity to share it with others. I realise it might seem a bit daunting but you are amongst friends and colleagues in what is a small profession. We are all genuinely interested to see what you are doing, share your techniques and show your successes and perhaps cases which proved difficult and how these difficulties were overcome.

We are never too old to learn, give it a go and lets have some new faces presenting!

Wednesday Evening

In the evening we will have a civic drinks reception at the Glasgow City Chambers hosted by our Lord Provost. This will provide an opportunity to have a look round this very impressive building.

After the reception there is an opportunity to go for a bite to eat and a drink in one of the many and varied restaurants and pubs in the city.

Thursday Evening

Reunion Dinner

Held at the ever so popular Hard rock café and thereafter the city is yours!

Friday Evening

Oran Mor

Formerly Kelvinside Parish Church, Òran Mór, Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.

Offering a Victorian Bar and Whisky Bar with a stunning Auditorium with mural ceiling by Alasdair Gray.
