IMPT Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetist’s and Technologists (IMPT) is committed to being inclusive and open to all sections of the community. Effective monitoring is an important tool for measuring performance and progress towards equality and diversity goals and ensuring true inclusivity. To assist us in this, it would be helpful if you would take the time to complete the following Diversity Questionnaire that will require you to provide information about the protected characteristics within the Equality Act 2010 listed below:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Race – this include ethnic or national origins, colour or nationality
  • Religion or belief – this include non-belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

The Data Protection Act 2018 gives rights to individuals in respect of personal data held about them by others and as directed by the Act, you should know the following.

The diversity information you provide will be stored by the IMPT Equality and Diversity Officer and will enable the IMPT to monitor the effectiveness of achieving our equal opportunities objectives and meet our legal obligations under the Equality Act 2010. Effective monitoring is an important tool for measuring performance and progress towards equality and diversity and in ensuring a truly inclusive working environment.

The IMPT is required to publish diversity information annually to demonstrate compliance with legal duties and ethical responsibilities, including but not limited to the Public Sector Equality Duty, the Professional Standards Authority’s EDI Standard and the broader Equality Act 2010 and Human Rights Act 1998.

The information you give will be held on both manual and electronic systems by the IMPT. Any other disclosures will only be made if we are required to do so by any court order similar process, or as required by law.

All information submitted will be held anonymously by the EDI officer.
